6 Best Optii Alternatives for Hotels (2026)
Optii Alternatives
Six housekeeping options for hotels

Written by Punn Kam, ex-Google AI engineer and Y Combinator repeat founder. He is the co-founder of Conduit, an AI agent platform built for hospitality, serving 300+ hospitality brands in 140+ languages. Last updated October 7, 2026.
The best Optii alternatives for hotels in 2026 are Conduit, Akia, Alice by Actabl, hotelkit, Flexkeeping and Amadeus HotSOS. Optii's AI plans attendant routes, so I ordered the list by what each tool's software does with a guest's request on its own, from agents that answer, dispatch and report back down to staff tools where a person logs the request.
Why do hotels look for an Optii alternative?
Optii is strongest on housekeeping, and the gaps a buyer can point to sit on the guest side. Optii's housekeeping module maps room attendant routes with AI from guest profiles and room status over a two-way PMS integration, and Optii cites a 20% reduction in labor costs on that page. Its Service module takes requests through "guest messaging partners," and its Medallia Concierge integration (October 15, 2025) says "requests turn into jobs automatically." If you do not already pay for one of those partners, you buy a second product to get the guest in.
Optii's Chat translates messages between staff in real time, which helps a multilingual team but has no guest in it. The site footer also lists a Guest Engagement solution, and that page returned a 404 when I checked on October 7, 2026, so ask Optii what it is before you decide.
How did I order these Optii alternatives?
I ordered the Optii alternatives by how much of a guest request their software handles before a person touches it: reading the message, creating the task, routing it, and telling the guest when it is done. Optii's AI works on the attendant's route, so the comparison here is about the request around the route. Ties go to the tool that lets you keep Optii, then alphabetical. I read each vendor's own pages on October 7, 2026, and the table says "not published" where they are silent. I skipped Knowcross because its site was serving an expired security certificate when I checked.
Which Optii alternatives use AI on the guest request?
Six Optii alternatives made the list. Conduit and Akia run AI on the guest request itself and can close the loop with the guest. Alice handles guest threads with staff in the loop. hotelkit, Flexkeeping and HotSOS are operations tools where the request arrives from a partner app or a staff member.
1. Conduit
Conduit puts an AI agent on the guest conversation and gives it the operations tools. A guest asks on WhatsApp, SMS, email, an OTA inbox or the phone; the agent answers, creates the task with any photos the guest sent, links it to the reservation, and sends the work order. Task created, assigned, status changed and completed are triggers, so the guest can hear "your extra towels are in the room" without anyone at the desk typing it.
Each Conduit agent carries its own instructions, model, guardrails and an allowlist of tools per connection, and it can run in Autopilot or Copilot mode with per-channel overrides. Skills are named, versioned instruction packs you attach to an agent. Deterministic workflows (conditions, waits, create task, HTTP request) can be called by an agent as a tool, so a rule like "rushed rooms go to the floor supervisor" stays fixed while the agent handles the wording. Workflows run on Temporal with retries. Full Suite, with tasks, starts at $48 per unit per month (pricing).
Watch-out: Conduit does not map attendant routes, and default assignees are set per property and task category, with no skill matching or proximity routing.
2. Akia
Akia is the option for a hotel that wants to keep Optii. Its Tasks page says "When a guest asks for extra towels or reports a broken AC, Akia files the task and routes it to the right team," from a call or a text, and adds "Running Optii, ALICE, or Quore already? Akia captures the request and files it there too." Its Skills page shows a maintenance skill that ends "Message the guest once it's marked done." Akia shows plan tiers on its pricing page with no figures.
3. Alice by Actabl
Alice brings guest messaging and operations into one Actabl product. Version 26.5.0 of its App Store listing (May 11) says "Guest Messaging is now in Alice," with SMS and WhatsApp conversations shown with reservation context, auto-translation, and guest or internal requests created directly from a message thread. A staff member makes that request. The Alice platform also covers housekeeping and service delivery. Ask how many hotels have run the messaging since May, and get pricing from a demo.
4. hotelkit
hotelkit's AI is for staff. Knowledge AI is an internal assistant on its home page, and the housekeeping module allocates rooms automatically or by drag and drop, with hotelkit citing 30% faster room inspections. Guest messages arrive through partners on its integrations page, including HiJiffy, Quicktext and Bookboost, much like Optii's partner model.
5. Flexkeeping
Flexkeeping automates housekeeping and maintenance work, and its FAQ says the staff app auto-translates into over 240 languages, the widest figure here. The same FAQ says "guests can't communicate directly with the operational team through Flexkeeping," so guest requests come from the PMS and partner apps. Mews acquired Flexkeeping in October 2025.
6. Amadeus HotSOS
HotSOS is Amadeus's line for service orders, maintenance and housekeeping. HotSOS Housekeeping is approved by Marriott, the Service Optimization line lists over 200 API integrations including PMS, and HotSOS Mobile sends push notifications to room attendants when a room is rushed, a guest wants their room serviced, or a room is reassigned. Guest requests are logged by staff on the pages cited.
How do Optii and its alternatives compare on AI and guest requests?
The table compares Optii and the six alternatives on where the AI sits, how a guest request gets in, who tells the guest it is done, and whether the tool can run alongside Optii. Each cell is taken from that vendor's website on October 7, 2026, and "not published" marks a question the site does not answer.

Should you replace Optii or add a messaging layer?
Replacing Optii is worth it only when the guest side is where your team loses hours. If Optii's routes and room board work and most guests already reach you through a partner it supports, keep Optii and add a tool that files requests into it, such as Akia. If guests text a front desk number, use WhatsApp or call, and someone retypes those requests, a system where the conversation and the task share one record removes the retyping and the relay.
I wrote more about that trade-off in why guest messaging and operations belong in one system. The hotel housekeeping software hub scores all seven tools on the same five facts, and the best hotel guest messaging software covers the messaging side alone.
FAQ
The questions below come up when hotel operators weigh Optii against other housekeeping and service tools. The answers use only what vendors publish on their own pages, read on October 7, 2026, so check the linked pages again before you sign.
What is the best alternative to Optii for hotels?
The best Optii alternative depends on whether you are replacing the housekeeping engine or the guest side. Conduit and Akia handle the guest request with AI and can message the guest when the work is done, while hotelkit, Flexkeeping and Amadeus HotSOS are closer to Optii as staff-side operations tools.
Does Optii have guest messaging?
Optii takes guest requests through guest messaging partners such as Medallia Concierge, where requests turn into Optii jobs automatically. Optii Chat translates messages between staff in real time and is not a guest channel. Optii's footer lists a Guest Engagement solution, but that page returned a 404 on October 7, 2026.
Can I keep Optii and add AI guest messaging?
Yes. Akia's Tasks page says that if you already run Optii, ALICE or Quore, Akia captures the guest request and files it there too, so housekeeping keeps working in Optii.
How much does Optii cost?
Optii does not publish pricing on its website. Among the alternatives here, Conduit publishes per-unit rates, with Full Suite (tasks, scheduling and dispatch) from $48 per unit per month and a $899 per month Startup plan for 0 to 25 units; the others quote after a demo.
What does the AI in Optii actually do?
Optii's housekeeping page says its AI maps room attendant routes from guest profiles and room status over a two-way PMS integration, and Optii cites a 20% reduction in labor costs on that page. Its AI is aimed at the housekeeping schedule rather than at the guest conversation.
Is Optii better than HotSOS?
Optii and HotSOS cover the same housekeeping and service work with different strengths. HotSOS Housekeeping is approved by Marriott and Amadeus lists over 200 API integrations, while Optii leads with AI route planning. Neither publishes pricing.
